Boyd Van (Buddy) Camp of Hayti, Missouri died May 19, 2017 at Hayti, Missouri at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 20 days of age.

He was born December 29, 1927 near Caruthersville, Missouri.

Buddy worked for Wonder Bread, was a Hayti Fire Truck Driver, and last worked for himself as an Appliance Salesman.

He was a member of the Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Ridgely, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ida Berry Camp, his brothers and sisters, George, Elmer, Ivy, James, Martha, Lily, Dorothy, Mary, and Pearl.

He leaves the following to cherish his memory, his wife of 47 years, Jean Camp of Hayti, MO, six children, Melinda (John) Arbuckle, Belinda (Ricky) Laster, Jason (Crystal) Camp, Sandra Flagg, Kenny (Joyce) Gable, and Tim (Brenda) Gable, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and family friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home with Pastor David Gray officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, MO.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Flagg, Jamie Vaughn, Jason Camp, Justin Arbuckle, Brandon Stracener, Luke Stracener and Hunter Vaughn.
