May 10 - At 9:00 p.m. officers responded to an assault past tense at the 400 block of West Grant Street. Upon arrival, officers obtained a complaint against Cotie M. Whitaker, 28, of Malden, for assault. The victim stated that Whitaker assaulted her at her residence at the 400 Block of North Pemiscot Street. Officers attempted to locate Whitaker at the residence but were unsuccessful.

May 12 - At 6:50 p.m. Cotie Whitaker turned herself in at the Hayti police department. Whitaker was processed and released on a summons to appear in municipal court.

May 13 - At 3:40 p.m. officers located Jasmine McVay, 22, of Hayti. McVay was wanted through Pemiscot county for two probation violations, one for burglary and the other for theft. McVay was processed at the police department then transported to the Justice Center. McVay is being held on a $1500 combined cash only bond for the warrants.

May 13 - At 9:35 a.m. officers located and arrested Butch Swofford, 29, of Caruthersville, who was wanted through the Caruthersville police department for failure to appear on the original charge of property damage. Swofford was processed at the police department, then transported to the Justice Center where he is currently being held on a $207.50 cash bond.

May 14 - At approximately 11:14 a.m officers conducted a traffic stop for noise pollution on North Second. Subsequent to the traffic stop officers arrested John H. Green, 42, of Hayti for a warrant issued by the City of Miner. Green and a failure to appear on the original charges of driving while revoked and speeding. Green was processed and transported to the Justice Center with a cash bond of $100.

May 18 - At approximately 6:30 p.m officers were called to the North 3rd and Adams Street area in reference to a possible intoxicated driver. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle which resulted in the arrest of a 56 year old male for driving while intoxicated. The subject was processed and transported pending the filing of formal charges.

May 18 - At approximately 11:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to a local business in reference to a suspicious person slumped over in a vehicle. Officers contacted the subject and conducted an investigation which resulted in a driving while intoxicated arrest. The 60 year old male was transported to Pemiscot Memorial where he was processed and released pending the filing of formal charges.
